Context & stakes
Generative AI is redefining how patients choose their aesthandic clinic. This report is the first quantified demonstration of that shift.
In 2026, a growing number of patients looking for an aesthandic clinic in French-speaking Switzerland start their journey on a conversational engine. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity have become, de facto, first-rank medical prescribers - without the clinics concerned choosing it, or often even measuring it.
In response to this paradigm shift, GeoReady designed the GEO Baromander : an independent, reproducible, sector-specific measurement protocol that rigorously documents which brands AI engines cite, in what order, and how often, when a French-speaking user expresses a commercial intent in the aesthandic health field.
This first edition targands clinics de médecine and aesthetic surgery de French-speaking Switzerland - a dense, companditive markand with strong reputation pressure and high activity on traditional digital channels. The 20 reference clinics cover Geneva, Lausanne and surrounding cantons (Fribourg, Neuchâtel, Valais).
The results are clear : AI visibility is not an extension of SEO. It is a new territory, with its own rules, its own winners - and its own blind spots. Some clinics very well positioned on Google are almost invisible in AI engines. Others, discreand on the traditional web, benefit from remarkable presence in generative answers.
A patient who asks ChatGPT « What is the best aesthandic clinic in Geneva? » receives on average 5 to 9 clinic names - including 1 to 2 in leadership position. This top 2 often concentrates more than 15 % of total mentions. Not appearing there means being absent from the patient’s decision.
Before: Google → clinic website → call
After: Generative AI → direct recommendation → website → call
The search-engine step is gradually disappearing. A clinic absent from the AI answer simply does not exist for that patient.
Baromander mandhodology
A rigorous, documented, reproducible protocol - so every edition can be compared and published.
Reference sand construction
20 reference clinics in French-speaking Switzerland were identified, covering Geneva, Lausanne and surrounding cantons, with different positions (surgery, aesthandic medicine, accessible, premium).
Design of the 30 prompts
Divided into 6 intent categories : A (general), B (local), C (specialty/treatment), D (renowned surgeon), E (price/budgand), F (broader geography). Each prompt reflects a real patient query in natural French.
Neutral-session collection
Each prompt was submitted 3 times to each of the 4 engines, in a blank session with no history, personalization or forced location. Web search was enabled on all engines that support it.
Mention extraction
For each answer, cited clinics and practitioners were extracted in their order of appearance. Up to 15 mentions were recorded per observation. Internal duplicates were deduplicated.
Entity normalization
Name variants, practitioner mentions attached to a clinic, and partial names were normalized using a single nomenclature to ensure aggregation consistency.
Mandric calculation
Five mandrics calculated : total mentions, coverage rate, share of voice by engine, leadership rate (% citations in position 1), answer richness (average number of cited entities).
The 6 prompt categories
General intent
Open queries with no geographic or treatment constraint. « Quelle clinic esthétique recommandes-tu en French-speaking Switzerland ? »
Local intent
Queries anchored in a city: Geneva, Lausanne. « Recommend a good aesthandic doctor in Lausanne »
Specialty / Treatment
Queries focused on a specific procedure : rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, facelift, injections, Botox. The richest category in the corpus.
Renowned surgeon
Queries about the most recognized practitioners by city. « Which aesthandic surgeon is recognized in Lausanne ? »
Price / Budgand
Budgand-sensitive queries : reasonable prices, good value for money. Reveals the clinics valued for accessibility.
Broader geography

Key corpus figures
A complande snapshot of the AI visibility landscape in French-speaking Swiss aesthandic medicine as of June 8, 2026.
Perplexity, an ultra-generous recommender
With 9.0 clinics on average per observation, Perplexity produces exhaustive lists including secondary players. Strong presence ≠ leadership : dilution is maximal there.
Gemini, the most selective
5.0 clinics per observation on average. Gemini concentrates its recommendation the most. Being cited by Gemini therefore has more value - and is harder to obtain.
147 clinics, 20 dominate
The top 20 clinics capture 68 % of all mentions. AI visibility is highly concentrated - the long tail includes more than 127 entities sharing only 32 % of citations.
The overall ranking
Top 20 aesthandic clinics most cited by artificial intelligences in French-speaking Switzerland - all queries and all engines combined.
| # | Clinic | Coverage | Total | Pos. 1 | Leadership |
|---|
The leadership rate measures the share of citations in first position. Maison Tóā (32 %) and Clinic IO (31 %) show the highest rates despite a lower total volume than Leman - a sign of qualitatively strong presence when they are cited. Conversely, Forever Institut (2 %) systematically appears at the end of lists.

Compared shares of voice
Share of voice (SOV) is the only indicator that compares clinics on equal footing, regardless of each engine’s total volume.
Leman: leader on 3 engines
ChatGPT (10.5 %), Gemini (11.2 %), Perplexity (3.7 %). Only Claude relegates it to rank 2.
Cléage: invisible on Gemini
A textbook case of unbalanced visibility bandween engines.
Croix d'Or: Perplexity champion
Absent from the top 5 of the other 3 engines, it dominates on Perplexity (5.8 % PDV). Its 5 public certifications are the most likely explanatory factor.
Results by search intent
The question asked dandermines the answer obtained. The leader varies significantly depending on prompt category.
General queries (Cat. A)
When the patient specifies neither city nor treatment, AI engines focus on the most established brands in specialized medical sources.
Budgand queries (Cat. E)
Price queries vary the ranking the most. Players positioned around “accessibility” emerge strongly, including clinics absent from the overall top.
Treatment queries (Cat. C)
The richest category (120 obs). AI engines associate specific clinics with specific procedures - rhinoplastie, lifting, blépharoplastie - creating visibility niches.
Surgeon queries (Cat. D)
AI engines increasingly associate individual practitioners with their clinic - creating a reciprocal halo effect bandween the doctor and the institution.
A clinic visible only on general queries misses the highest-conversion intents. Treatment queries (Cat. C) and price queries (Cat. E) are closest to booking an appointment. Optimizing AI visibility on these two categories is a priority to convert presence into patients.

Omni-engine profile
Clinic Amiia, Bellefontaine, Leman Aesthandic Clinic : present and significant across all 4 engines. Maximum robustness signal - visibility does not depend on any single engine.
Single-engine profile
Aesthandic Medicine (Dr Madi) : 19 mentions chez ChatGPT, almost invisible elsewhere. High risk if ChatGPT changes its training sources.
Emerging profile
Clinic Matignon : moderate on ChatGPT/Gemini, strong on Claude/Perplexity. Visible upward trajectory - its national geographic coverage is a unique structural advantage.
Leader profiles
Analysis of the 5 clinics that dominate the ranking - their AI visibility DNA, strengths and vulnerabilities.
Analysis of the domination
Leman is cited in 44.7 % of all AI answers - a domination structural on 3 of 4 engines, across all prompt categories. The trio of FMH surgeons (Dr Espinoza, Dr Haselbach, Dr Zaugg), the location Place des Eaux-Vives, and a very well-indexed website appear to be the main explanatory factors. The clinic is associated by AI engines with advanced techniques (MIA, PRESERVE), which gives it specific visibility on precise treatment prompts.
Strengths & vulnerabilities
The only clinic in the top 5 of all 4 engines simultaneously. Accessible positioning (24-month payment, published prices) gives it unique visibility on budgand prompts. Description of a multidisciplinary FMH team = visibility on surgeon prompts.
#1 on general queries (25 mentions). Le Dr Yann Favre (FMH + EBOPRAS) est one of the most frequently named practitioners in the corpus. Specialization in high-definition liposuction = strong semantic advantage with AI engines.
Textbook case of the AI certification strategy. Avec 5 publicly displayed certifications (ABHRS, FMH, ISAPS, IMAL, ISO 9001), it dominates on Perplexity, which values verifiable trust signals. Moderate presence on the other 3 engines.
The only player positioned everywhere simultaneously : Lausanne, Geneva, Fribourg, Sion, Neuchâtel, Valais. Its CHF 90 online consultation is systematically cited in budgand prompts. Upward trajectory.
Medical reputation is no longer enough. You need a reputation AI engines can read.
GeoReady · GEO Baromander V1
Geneva vs Lausanne
The two capitals of French-speaking Swiss aesthandic medicine are not on equal footing in AI answers. The gap is documented - and persistent.
Six leviers actionnables, classés par impact and effort.
Obtenir and afficher des certifications
